The solar energy devices, which were recently featured at the Digital Experience! and Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, are part of Energizer's Energi To Go line of products that provide on-the-charging of portable devices such as mp3 players and cell phones.
The company's Energi To Go SP Solar Power Packs will be able to charge various devices using indoor light, sunlight, or traditional AC power.
The pocket-sized Power Packs will be available in 1000 mAh and 2000 mAh power charging models and come with a variety of USB ports that can be paired with portable devices up to 500 times.
"Energizer is at the forefront of new technologies that will bring even more freedom for people to live and work using power that's reliable, portable and convenient," said Jim Olsen, Vice President of Marketing for Energizer in North America.
Portable solar chargers may turn out to be all the rage in 2010. In addition to Energizer, Global Solar Energy also unveiled a thin film solar charger at the CES that will be able to charge portable devices as well.
