NJ retailer cuts electrical costs in half through photovoltaic panel installations

In an example of just how cost-effective the installations of solar panels can be, a New Jersey-based solar energy company has reduced the monthly electrical costs of a furniture showroom by two-thirds.

Arosa Solar Energy, one of the leading photovoltaic panel supplier and installers in the Garden State, recently installed a 41.3 kilowatt solar panel system on the roof of Dina's Interiors & Leather in Lakewood, New Jersey.

The solar power system will reduce Dina's electric costs by more than 65 percent while also registering Solar Energy Certificates that can be sold to reduce costs even further.

"Arosa Solar is excited about this installation" said Shimmy Tessler, speaking for the solar energy company. "The installation is replacing a huge amount of the energy for which this client depended on [and paid] the utility company. In four years, this system will not only be paid for, but all of the company's energy will still be free - if you factor in the SREC income."

In addition to the SREC's that will be utilized by Dina's, Arosa was also able to benefit through numerous substantial state rebates and federal grants that were made available to them in order to complete the project.
