The San Francisco-based energy company was named in Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies issue, which is on newsstands now, because of the work they have done with solar power installations from 2-20 megawatts in size that are built in or close to cities.
The magazine specifically noted Reccurent's recent 5 MW roof installation of solar panels at San Francisco's Sunset Reservoir, as well as recently announced plans to build and operate three projects across California that would generate a combined 50 MW of solar energy.
"We are proud to have our business model and culture recognized by Fast Company for innovation in the Energy category," said Arno Harris, CEO of Recurrent Energy. "Distributed-scale solar power can be permitted and interconnected faster than large-scale projects and can be aggregated together to deliver significant amounts of power, helping us achieve society's renewable energy goals in the short-term."
For its Most Innovative Companies issue, Fast Company recognized more than 250 companies throughout 24 different fields such as advertising, marketing, biotech, and energy.
