Using its gasification technologies, Refill can create 100 percent renewable and green energy through the conversion of carbon-based feedstock, solid waste, coal, sewage, agricultural waste or carcasses into electricity, steam, ethanol, fuels, chemicals or hydrogen.
The process is carried out through the use of a gasifier that can create a synthesis gas made up of hydrogen and carbon monoxide that can be used in either a Gasification Combined Cycle to create electricity or a Catalytic Slurry Cyclone Reactor to be converted into liquid fuels.
"This is an important milestone...one we have been looking forward to for years. With the Gasifier and other components, we have turned the corner from construction to operation," said Mit Ebeling, President of Refill Energy Inc. "The level of detail, knowledge, and team work exhibited throughout is unprecedented. Everyone has truly embraced the design success."
As part of the acquisition, Refill will gain the usage of Green N-ergy's Downdraft Gasification Module that had been created by Utah-based Petersen Inc.
