Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Co. has announced that it is installing photovoltaic solar energy powered inverters at its warehouses on either side of the country

The aircraft company, which is one of the country's most notable private aircraft part and pilot supply providers, will install the solar energy systems at their Corona, California and Peachtree City, Georgia warehouses. According to estimates, the two 119 kilowatt energy plants will provide 65 percent of its energy needs.

Additionally, the Peachtree City commercial inverter has already become the second largest solar energy system in the state of Georgia.

"Installing photovoltaic systems made good sense to us because Aircraft Spruce has always strived to be environmentally responsible” said Jim Irwin, the president of Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Company, "but the financial benefits of operating highly efficient systems are a definite bonus."

The solar energy systems were installed by PV Powered, a company specializing in solar inverter reliability, performance, and serviceability that has been in service for more than 20 years..

“We selected PV Powered commercial inverters because they represented the highest efficiency and lowest cost per watt, enabling us to offer a performance guarantee to our customer” said Karla Martinez, project coordinator of the Solar Division at Aliso Electric, which handled the installations.
