Dallas chosen to host SPI 2011

Dallas, Texas will serve as the home of one of the fastest growing trade shows in the country that focuses on the solar energy market and its utilization throughout North America.

The Solar Power International conference and trade show in 2011 will take place at the Dallas Convention Center on October 17-21. The show, which is produced by Solar Energy Trade Shows LLC, is the largest business-to-business trade show in North America for the industry. The 2009 iteration of the conference had more than 25,000 guests.

"We are excited to take Solar Power International 2011 to Dallas," said Brian Tully, SETS Executive Director. "Texas is the energy hub in this country and an emerging market for solar power. SPI and the Lone Star State are a perfect fit for one another. We look forward to highlighting this important market and building upon SPI's previous successes in being the premier solar event in the United States."

Prior to the 2011 conference, SETS will produce SPI 2010 from October 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center along with PV America 2011 April 3-5 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

SETS was established last October as a collaboration between the Solar Energy Industries Association and the Solar Electric Power Association.
