Two New Jersey-based renewable energy companies have announced they are joining forces to outline new turnkey energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions to the Mid-Atlantic region while also completing a solar energy project in the state.

Pro-Tech Energy Solutions LLC, a self-funded energy services company, and environmental management services firm Whitman Co. have announced their strategic partnership to help improve energy efficiency audits and recommendations, photovoltaic system design, engineering and installation, and management/coordination of state and federal grant applications in the Mid-Atlantic.

"Energy efficiency and renewable energy are an area of tremendous growth," said Barry Skoultchi, P.E., CEO and President of Whitman. "This collaboration allows us to expand our focus from the engineering aspects of renewable energy into the development of financial modeling, design systems and building, maintaining and monitoring these systems for both public and private facilities."

The announcement comes only one month after another collaboration between the two companies, a a 1.3 megawatt photovoltaic solar energy installation on a Cherry Hills, New Jersey warehouse, was completed.

The entire project was designed, engineered, and installed in only 120 days, despite the states two largest snowstorms since 1998 and a design challenge that left the roof unable to support the weight of the installation on is own.
