One Block off the Grid announces new solar energy-based initiative in San Francisco

The country's largest solar group purchase company has announced a new initiative to help San Francisco residents gain knowledge of solar energy while also providing discounted group rates on solar panel installation.

One Block Off the Grid announced on Monday that it was launching GreenFinanceSF, a San Francisco-based version of the Property Assessed Clean Energy program that will be available to all city residents.

In addition to offering impartial advice on solar energy, the program will also allow users a group discount rate of $5.39 per watt on home solar panel installations, as well as offer homeowners the chance to finance energy efficiency renewable energy, and water conservation improvements through property taxes instead of their income.

"Stacking city, state and federal rebates on top of the 1BOG group discount makes solar energy a no brainer compared to any other fixed-return residential investment. Going solar is a smart financial decision, especially for homes with large power bills," said 1BOG CEO Dave Llorens. "Combining the City's powerful new financing that requires no home equity, with 1BOG's support, makes it easier and more affordable than ever to go solar."

In order to carry out the project, 1BOG has selected Luminait Energy Corporation, San Francisco's leading solar design-build firm, to help service residents to take part in the program.ADNFCR-2111-ID-19685266-ADNFCR
