Texas company offers grants to nonprofit organization to encourage green energy use

Posted 2 years ago in the Green Energy category by Nate Lew
In an effort to increase the Texas nonprofit agencies that can afford the installation of solar energy products, a Texas-based energy company is offering energy-efficient grants for as much as $2,000.

First Choice Power has launched an effort to offer Reduce Your Use Grants that will help nonprofit companies refine their energy needs to greener standards by offering them a way to replace inefficient heating/cooling equipment without having to take the money out of their own pockets.

Funds that organizations receive through the grants can be used towards expenses that have been planned for over the course of the year so there will not be any ill effects on the organization's budgets.

"Empowering nonprofits to achieve goals of being more green is something that First Choice Power can rally behind," said Brian Hayduk, president of First Choice Power. "Organizations that give effortlessly back to the community are partners we naturally gravitate to. Nonprofits and chamber of commerce are the building blocks of a community, and we are proud to support them."

First Choice Power expects to hand out $50,000 in Reduce Your Use grants. The deadline for nonprofits to apply for a grant is April 15 by 5 p.m., with a one application limit per organization.ADNFCR-2111-ID-19690416-ADNFCR
