Danthern Power, a subsidiary of Ballard Power Systems, and Richardson, Texas-based Leap Power announced on Monday they had formed a new partnership to market their products to telecom service providers, data centers, and solar power generation plants.
Under the agreement, the companies will work together to provide joint localization, implementation, and commercialization of Danthern's fuel cell products while also generating revenue through solutions provided by both companies.
"Dantherm's products are the most suitable products for telecom power and solar applications," said Syed I Ali, GM and vice president of sales for Leap Power. "The environment friendly and highly reliable fuel cell power systems provide a single unified primary and backup power solution by eliminating and/or reducing redundant elements like AC Genset, Batteries, AC Transfer Switches and DC Rectifiers."
Claus Munkholm, the sales director of Dantherm Power, added that the company was impressed with Leap Powers understanding of the "global telecom alternative power generation market" and its technologies' ability to bring inexpensive primary and backup power solutions to the market.
