Homeowners who are reluctant to go solar because of the up-front costs involved have a variety of options to consider, such as lease deals for photovoltaic panels. However, the popularity of solar panels has not gone unnoticed in the building industry, with more contractors now incorporating photovoltaic panels into the design of a home.
Homes that are designed with solar panels can produce savings because these typically cost less than retrofit projects where such equipment is installed after the fact.
With these things in mind, Lennar Corporation, a leading home building company, announced recently that it is now offering a solar lease program where consumers will be able to avoid up-front installation costs.
Lennar indicated that it is offering the program in partnership with SunPower Corporation, which is a leading provider of photovoltaic panels and other solar energy products.
