A scion of one of America's great political dynasties discussed his firm belief in renewable energy as keynote speaker of mayoral conference convened to discuss water.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., spoke of three keys to facilitate sustainable energy’s success in the United States at the U.S. Conference of Mayors Water Council in Pleasanton, California on Thursday.
"We need to build a national supergrid," said the son of the former attorney general and slain presidential candidate.
His two additional suggestions were a national marketplace for energy for the excess generated by homes and businesses and he also endorsed ending subsidies to oil and coal companies, who should increase their environmental consciousness.
He underscored his strong support for wind and solar farms, stating those two sources could power the country.
