A North Jersey distribution warehouse will take on a 5 megawatt solar rooftop as designed by a California-based company, according to a press release.
Solar Power Inc of Roseville will oversee installation of the solar panels atop White Rose of Carteret, which is owned by KTR Capital Partners, a private equity firm.
"The White Rose installation will be one of the largest systems of its type in the nation," according to Steve Kircher, chairman and chief executive officer of Solar Power Inc. "More importantly, the project allows us to continue to develop our presence and portfolio in the Northeastern U.S. It also provides our Company the opportunity to showcase the unique talents and abilities we offer - it's a perfect fit for our products and our system design and construction expertise."
White Rose supplies more than 1,800 stores stretching from Maryland to Connecticut, including supermarket chains, independent retailers and cooperatives.
"A project of this scope and scale requires a significant amount of research and due diligence on behalf of everyone involved," according to David Milner, chief executive officer of NuGen, the project developer.
